Experience

Cloud DevOps Engineer

British Telecommunications
  • Part of the core-team responsible for deploying Petabyte-Scale Openstack Cloud environments.
  • Reduced the duration of a CI/CD pipeline test from 20mins to 20seconds equating to a 98% time-saving
  • Built a fully automated and re-deployable performance testing environment using infrastructure as Code (python and terraform) to benchmark cloud infrastructure
  • Became go-to-person for cloud expansions after successfully completing four logical expansions of cloud sites with over 50 rack servers
  • Delivered departmental-wide knowledge shares in DevOps tools and technologies to upskill colleagues
September 2018 - September 2020

Research and Development Intern

Cummins Generator Technology
  • Simulated the excitation control system to monitor and regulate the output of a synchronous generator according to European Grid Code Regulations using Matlab/Simulink
  • Tested simulations according to industry standards as part of the requirements for the five-year valid component certification which costs approximately £200,000
  • Managed and organised the simulation project, wrote the technical report and presented the results to company Chief Engineers and different stakeholders to achieve project targets
June 2017 - August 2017
June 2016 - August 2016

Mobile Development Intern

Cummins Generator Technology

Interests

Depending on the weather, I enjoy travelling and cycling. Travelling enables me to meet new people, learn languages and develop new perspectives; whereas, cycling clears my mind.

Otherwise, I tend to tinker with all types of technology from Kubernetes on Raspberry Pi's to Cloud-based Machine Learning.
